Description: |
Need to outsoure this. Client does food and beverages steel kichen fabrication system. About 3-4 months timeline. So far, they told me, this will only be phase 1 of what they need. There will be more "add-ons" later on, after 1st phase kicks off. Budget for first phase is US$1k-1.5k. Total budget allocated for whole project will be about US$5-7k over next 6 months. For phase 1: This is what they require. 1. Revamp of their defunct website with all current information to become a portal. 2. They need a database for them to show their products (images and specs) 3. This database should be easy for them to upload / update etc. 4. They don't mind some flash as the person i spoke to is quite open to having some parts html, some parts flash so that the site will look more "progressive" as his competitors now all use html with no animations etc. 5. They want to be able to update certain contents themselves, like, News etc. So if there's a backend WYSIWYG editor, that would be good. If not, pls ensure there's a simplified way for a "non web guy" to know how to update some pages. 6. They will potential customers to be able to signup online and "apply" for login access to see their product library. This can be manually done, as the point of contact wants to screen potential customers first. He is fine with having to manually create user login / password for the potential customer so backend user dbase might be optional. 7. They also want their own staff (100-300) to be able to login and check mail. The easy way I can think of is just to have them login direct to webmail of a Linux server like http://webmail.100for100.com. 8. They are open to putting their portal on a linux server / php / mysql / xml / cgi etc. At the moment, this is their competitor: www . zanussiprofessional . com /cgi-bin/electrolux/Zanussi/home.jsp If their new website has the "components" of what is there, they will be happy. I will be working with their point of contact to gather images / purchase any imagebank images / text. What do you think you will charge for this so I can make a proper quote to them. Also, if you come across any food + bev websites with database, pls email me so I can show them. Please provide admin demos of your backends.
