my online store. Programmer should have previous experience with osCommerce or one of the derivatives like Zen Cart or PHP Nuke - unless you are a quick study and a wizard at PHP. I'm looking to add various customizations, but the first few are: 1- add weights to the order processing - currently these are processed via the shipping module, and not saved with the actual order. I need to create a step in the order process where the weight of the items is saved permanently to the database in the order table, so that it will be displayed with the order info in the admin section, as well as retrievable for .csv export and xml export to the shipping program Endicia, as well as Stamps.com or any other potential program I may use. 2- create an xml feed from the order section that will export the shipping information to Endicia - the xml specs are found here: 4-create a module in the admin where I can customize ALL email notifications to the customer - anybody who is familiar w/ osCommerce knows that the only way to currently alter the email notification to the customer is to go into the actual php file of the checkout_process.php - and insert code. I want a much more user friendly interface via the admin - where I can customize the look and content of all notifications, and turn them on or off. 5-same thing as above for downloadable products - I want to have access in the admin to the emails sent out when a customer purchases a download, so that I can customize these emails on a per product basis. I have quite a few more customizations I'd like to work on - but this is the start of this project. Please don't reply with a standard message telling me to "look at my portfolio". Write me a REAL response - tell me why you would be perfect for this job. Tell me about your specific experience with OsCommerce. If you have no experience with osCommerce - then DOWNLOAD it and take a look - I am using the CRE Loaded 6.1 version with the release candidate patch. Google it and get it - then tell me why you think you can help me. Show me a sample script you've written for osCommerce if you really want to impress me! But please don't respond if you aren't prepared to really give me an answer that tells me how you are the best programmer for my specific job. Any general answers which don't address osCommerce or my specific requirements will not be considered. Any "look at my portfolio" answers will likewise be ignored. The beginning of this project is in the $100 to $500 range, but for a talented osCommerce scripting expert, there could be a lot more work - so if you are a php guru looking for a gig - and don't know osCommerce, it may be worth your time to download the CRE Loaded version ( don't forget the candidate release patch in their downloads section, it's necessary to make this version work) - and see what you can do. I prefer somebody who has apache/php/mysql installed on their local machine - so I can send you all the necessary files to work on my osCommerce scripts from your own machine. I have easyphp installed on my own computer and it works great. I am pretty easy to work with, I work very hard myself and try to learn all I can about any project, but I demand excellence. All work should be checked and RE-checked - I don't appreciate small errors that can be avoided.
