Description:

Have a site that gets news feeds and displays them by category. The site has
about 10-15 categories. Each category has about 10 links to different RSS
feeds. When clicked they display the 10 stories in text from the feed. Script
uses the CaRP RSS script called Evolution which stores feed stories in mysql. I
need the following:
1. When someone get to a specific feed page which shows the 10 stories
summaries... it stores it in mysql. This works great. I need an archive page
by month and then by day for the stories from that day... so basically if we
started today a february page would need to be made with a new page for each
day. the month page woul show links to the day pages, the day pages would show
a summary of all the links in db for that date. And the story page would show
just the story in the middle of the current layout. All of this will be
accessed from a link on the left called archive. Pretty straight forward. This
should all happen auto via a cron job or something similar.
2. Would like to find a way to edit this CaRP Evolution RSS reader script and
make it more google news like. Need code to call any pictures and change code
to make it more presentable as it looks boring. Bigger fonts, background color,
smaller fonts, colors, bolds, etc are all needed. Job is to make it user
freiendly.
3. need to get the google ads more targeted to the topic. Seems it pulls
generic ads. Job is to change all pages with non targeted ads to targeted
relating to something on the page.
