e-marketplace, where our members and partners form a business community, where they can present their company profiles, products and services and gain the same information about others. They will also able to reach general business information and communicate with each other (via internal messages, forums, and audio/video/text chat). Members and Partners will be registered at the marketplace. Every member and partner will have the opportunity to introduce his business at a mini-site. They can edit the mini-site’s content for themselves, so these will be their „showrooms”, to share every piece of important information about them. Member and partner mini-sites on the marketplace can be grouped using different filters, listed, searched for and filtered. We are planning to establish a marketplace, which serves thousands (or even ten-thousands) of our members and partners. Our future developed marketplace should have features, mostly similar to www.alibaba.com . We need most of Alibaba’s functions, so take a good look at them. Later, we are going to explain, what we wish to be the differences. The marketplace must be scalable, loadable and fast enough to serve large numbers of members and to be able to suit significant increases in number of users. Thus, we are looking for recommendations from the chosen developer, regarding the choice of appropriate hardware. The data base can be mysql and postgresql. We support the use of open source software during the market place development. What we need to be different, than at Alibaba and the likes: We do not need to distinct companies as buyers and sellers. We do not need a feature, similar to China Gold Suppliers of Alibaba. Members/Partners Various members (E.g. companies, local councils, industrial areas, liquidators, etc.) and partners (E.g. chambers of commerce and industry, associations, trade and enterprise facilitating organizations, etc) can subscribe to the marketplace. Members, partners, according to their sub branches, will receive specific access authorities and their mini-sites’ design and menu options will also be different. We (as admin) will register partners and members register themselves. Users A member or partner can register multiple users. The first user will be registered during the registration of the member or partner. Other users for the member or partner can be added or deleted later by this primary user. Forum General discussion board with the usual features, integrated to the marketplace Calendar Members and partners can access their own calendars in their accounts, so they can record and schedule their tasks, meetings, conferences, etc. Internal Messages Regular, not pre-edited messages (so not just enquiries or offers in a pre-set form) can also be sent from user to user, by filling the fields recipient(s), subject, message and sender. List of Partners Users can be added to the partners list. When the user logs in and clicks on partners, he can immediately check if they are on-line. Reviews, References and Evaluations Members of the marketplace can recommend or evaluate a company in text or score format. „Who is online?” – User Status In the users list, their online or offline status will be visible. Online users can be filtered, listed and searched. Multi-language We have not yet decided if it will be necessary. Possibly later it will be. Company News Company news- about members/partners, sorted by region/industry. Users can release one article per a given time, which will appear at members’/partners’ mini-sites Polls, Surveys, Questionnaires The admin can edit and place polls and questionnaires anywhere at the marketplace, with any content. Creating statistics must also be possible. Design It is extremely important to create a distinctive design, which is clearly different from any other e-marketplaces. Communication Audio/video/text chat, presentations, polls, broadcasts of video messages, via an application, developed for flash com server (http://www.macromedia.com/software/flashcom/), integrated to the marketplace. The marketplace developer must only assist the integration, as he will not be assigned to the flash com application development. The marketplace has relatively complex features, some are hard to exactly pre-define, so adequate planning and cooperation requires continuous communication. Mainly, we are looking for bids from developers with some experience in such complex development projects, maybe B2B e-marketplace development.
