The system is not for one individual organization but is instead for any number of organizations and users, who would create an account and then be able to manage their own organizations. High Level General Requirements: - Prefer PHP and MySQL. Installation to server to be managed by developer (I'd be open to hosting through you if you offer that, depending on costs). - System is initially English, but it should be built in a manner that it is easily localizable. The system must also be scalable to one day accommodate thousands of users/organizations and hundreds of thousands of records. Multiple users must be able to work on same organization simultaneously. - Assuming you also test while you develop, I would participate in QA testing and have a certain number of customers perform beta testing for a month to help check for bugs. Passing this beta test period would be a requirement for final payment of the project. - I will provide guidance on layout and user interface but need someone who can create decent-looking objects (buttons, menus, etc.) on their own. I will provide user documentation, but system must be able to link to it (context-sensitive). High Level Application Requirements: - Standard account management so that users can create accounts, logon, retrieve lost passwords, edit contact information, change passwords, etc. - Users can create and manage their own organization details such as organization demographics, permissions for users to work within their organization at multiple permission levels, remove organizations, etc. - Within an organization, users can add/edit data such as volunteer and donor contact information, volunteer hours people worked as well as their preferred volunteer jobs, donations given to organization. - Users can enter and manage events that an organization is running to, for example, track donations against event goals or track volunteers for the event. - Users can generate different reports about their organization to see such things as donations or volunteer efforts. - Users can enter parameters to print mailing labels for their volunteers/donors, based on the people who fall within the specified parameters. - Export feature for downloading most or all data for an organization. Details are very important. The system needs to have a response for pretty much any situation. For example, it's not enough to allow the user to create an account under their email address/logon...the system must also validate and confirm via email that it is a legitimate user, and the user must be able to change this email address if they want in the future, etc. I have attached a more detailed list of project requirements to help you make an accurate bid.
