three XHTML files, a CSS file, associated Javascript files and images. The XHTML is tableless and needs to be CSS compliant. The XHTML files are as follows: index.html - Categories broken out in news format with sections containing 1) a lead headline with short excerpt and 2) a number of headlines linked to stories without excerpts. The lead story will contain a comment link with the number of comments listed. - A widgetized sidebar where banner ads and Google Ad Sense will go. All other elements on this page are "hard-coded" into the XHTML. Due to the high traffic of this site, all images will be served from a content distribution server and will not reside in the template folder; they currently reside in an images folder but our webmaster will change the URLs to absolute, pointing to the content distribution server after the WP template is completed. single.html This is the page where the individual articles will appear. Same rule for images stated above apply. For styling purposes, this page contains standard HTML for the comments; this must be changed to conform with WP comments. As with index.html, there is a widgetized sidebar with banner ads, Google Ad Sense, and Tribal Fusion. The page also contains tools for printing and emailing pages and a link for social network selections. The programmer will build the tools. archive.html A standard archive page with styling attached. Once again, there will be a widgetized sidebar, same as the sidebar on the single.html page. main.css The stylesheet. The programmer will add any styles required for the WP build. Plugins - Adman for inserting Google Ad Sense in posts - Akismet for spam; our IT will provide API key - Marin Lane's Audio player - Chunk URLs for Wordpress - A sufficient text widget, preferably one that accepts PHP - Andy Staines' Paginated comments - WP-DBManager - WP lightbox JS - WP Super Cache Programmer will install all plugins and work with our IT resolve any potential issues. The programmer will build the site locally using XAMPP or other program. The final site will be hosted on an Apache HTTP Server with MySQL database. The programmer will then upload and install the template on a server with Wordpress version 2.5.1 installed. We will provide FTP access and WP login. Since the site is high traffic, it will use Super Cache to create static pages. The programmer will need to work with our IT to deal with any issues that may arise.
