   Wordpress Margin Problems

Bidding Time:
07/07/2008 00:39 - 21/07/2008 00:39
Budget:
$2-50
Status:
Closed

Job Type:
PHP, XHTML, Wordpress
Description:

I need help on a website I built. I tried to make a wordpress theme blend
seamlessly with my existing website, both are hosted on my server. I altered the
header.php file to look like the top of the rest of my web site pages, but I
can't get the margins right. There is a slight margin on the right and the top
of the page. Also need help cleaning up the code, so it runs faster than messy
code.
Attached are the two original files I used to merge, and the new header.php that
has the slight margin problem (the version that's online now). I want everything
to line up perfectly. It's only off by about five pixels. I just can't figure
out what's causing it.
Also I need to make the background no longer fixed.

Additional Info
(Added 7/7/2008 at 10:11 EST)...

You know how a little bit of knowledge is
a dangerous thing... well that applies to me. I don't know much about coding,
html, or css, just enough to get me into trouble.
Actually, there are three things I need help with regarding this site/blog
integration:
1) Fix messy code, slight margin problems on right and top and browser
compatibility so the wordpress site flows seamlessly with the html site. The
site should look the same between firefox and internet explorer...
2) I'd like to use the custom design search bar that came with this theme, but
I'd also like the ability add/change other widgets from the wordpress admin
widget control center. It seems whenever I try to add or change these widgets,
the custom search bar disappears and I am left with the ugly one.
3) I'd like to adjust the shape of the left black main box and the right sidebar
to be the exact same width and placement on the wordpress main page
(rowdygroup.com/index.php), the single post pages, and the category pages.
Please tell me an estimate cost to fix these three problems.
I have the entire folder used for the theme and the original files as well. Will
you need ftp access as well as wordpress access?
How long do you think it will take to finish all these things?
