Description: |
after several wordpress upgrades and several hosting changes, I noticed that the mysql of the wordpress blog has some table in latin collation and other in utf8 collation: I need to change them into an unique collation. I need to use ISO-8859-1 encode (italian language). At the moment I don't see strange chars in the articles/comments (I also made something like update wp_posts set post_content = replace(post_content, 'Ã', 'à'); but I see the error in validator, because it detect automatically UTF8 instead ISO-8859-1 as declared in the header. I prefer that an expert will manage this "change collation" so operation required after my backup: 1) change collation of all tables 2) one or two week to check if the operation was successfully
