Market. I havent stipulated use of ASP/PHP/.NET etc as I am looking for recommendations on the best one for the job. First I would like to start by saying we want experienced professionals. And the chosen candidate will be kept in mind when other company website are need to be created as we are a group of investors owning several companies that need websites. We need someone who is very creative as the complete project will be up to them. There are no restrictions or limitations only requirements. We are looking for someone or a team of people with experience in building e-commerce websites with unlimited product listings and very extensive search criteria. The site needs to be easy to navigate and stand out above the competition. There are going to be an enormous amount of pages. We have a specific list of competitors that we need to have what they have and some. This is not another standard ecommerce website it is very important that the design and functionality are second to none and I'm willing to look at paying more than a 'standard' ecommerce site to achieve this. Heres what I want. Site and logo/brand design - very important as aesthetics do matter in the online space. o The look and feel of a website, mean everything to an online company. Search engine friendly URLS and page optimization Advanced search engine that can practically specify to the point what a customer is looking for. o Perhaps this could be best achieved with a questionnaire or check box. Whatever is the most convenient and appealing to the consumer. The site will be launched with an unlimited amount of products in multiple categories. The site needs to have a comprehensive backend system that allows for sending emails to customers, promoting products, managing products and inventory, managing customers, order tracking, product wish list (for customers), shopping basket, product reviews etc. I also want there to be multiple portals for different users to be able to login. I want during the checkout process to create a profile that would be there account similar to shopping with Amazon. Navigation needs to be very simple and clean QuickBooks integrated User Friendly for both administrators and consumers. Products should be able to easily be edited, added, or deleted if need be. There are going to be different levels of security on the website. When order is placed by customer. Email will be directly sent to customer to confirm order. Also an email will shoot to us stating what needs to be ordered by what manufacturer with their item numbers and a projected cost of the merchandise with other charges and discounts. o Then an email will simultaneously generate with a purchase order for the manufacturer for us to review then send out. We would like integration with other online community stores like Amazon, EBay, Overstock, Yahoo, etc. if possible. Create monthly newsletters. Accept credit cards and have financing Send out Thank you email for purchase. Have area for wish list/registry Each product may have about 20 item description points to help customer fully know product. This will also allow customer to narrow search The website needs to be very creative, organized, simple, and professional. Better than the competition. This is a general idea. Any improvements or suggestions the designer feels can enhance the website would be greatly appreciated and rewarded monetarily. We would like this project completed in the quickest time as possible but we understand that QUALITY takes time. I want someone willing to work hard and make an amazing product.
