This program will automatically do the following things for the following services: Instructions for AOL users Open your AOL e-mail account Click "Address Book" Click "Add Contact" Create a contact listing for ""Business Name"" with the primary e-mail address of --**-- (HOST e-mail address) Instructions for Hotmail users Open your Hotmail e-mail account Click "Contacts" In the left-hand menu, click "Safe List" Enter ""host's domain name"" and click "Add" Instructions for Yahoo! users Open your Yahoo! e-mail account Click "Mail," and select "Options" Click "Filters" Click "Add" Click in the text box in the top row ("From header") and enter ""host's domain name"" In the pull-down menu for "Move the message to," choose "Inbox" Click "Add Filter" Also, please add the address ""Host E-mail address"" and **** ****Note: They need to have the option to put in more than one hostname/email address in the master program. Instructions for other e-mail services Add ""host's domain"" to your address book or list of contacts If you can't add an entire domain to your contacts list, please add the e-mail address ""Host's e-mail addresses"" 1) Master Program - The master program needs to have "locked" access until users put in an acceptable key that they are provided with. - needs to have options for "hostnames" and to put your name or business name and any other contact information they want. They will have a spot to "customize" the look of their "distributable exe file", color, able to put comments, etc. The master program then generates a .exe file which will be called the distributable file. 2) Distributable file -This program will be a small program with a few options. For example, the person running the program will need to select whether they are using Outlook, Hotmail, Aol, Yahoo, etc...If they are using a webbased e-mail account they will need to input their username/password into the file. -For people using client-based e-mail services (ex. outlook express) they should be given the choice to make messages received from the host in a different color that will stand out (red for example, after they get a message from that host address). The distributable file basically ads whichever hostname that is embedded within it to the user's whitelist. Just run the program and everything is done for them. This project needs to be completed by: March 3, 2005. The programmer selected will need to keep in touch with any problems, suggestions or ideas they may have.
