Description:

We need a rather simple form that submits just one line of text entry to a text
file. The text file will be located in a root web folder and act as an include
file on a web page (.asp page). Hence, the line of text entered will show up on
that page. So far, so good. But the challenge is this: Only the last entry
should be retained in the text file. Previous entries are not to be saved or
displayed.
We plan to use multiple sets of the submit form + text file combination, but
once we have one working set we can duplicate the process. Each submit form
will be placed in a password protected folder, then we give this login to the
person that will be authorized to make the form submission. When they submit a
new entry, it should then become the new and only contents of the text file -
until the next time they submit again.
The form should also notify our webmaster by email each time an update is done.
