I am a Canadian author of 2 books (one is a self-help genre; the other is a
parenting humour genre).
I am very tech/computer challenged, so please do not reply if you cannot A.)
relate to and communicate with me within my limited knowledge of
websites/computers (i.e., do not talk over my head), B.) have the patience of
Job when explaining options/suggestions, and/or C.) speak/write in
easy-to-understand English.
I need someone to help me purchase a domain, and then design and launch a secure
website for me that will showcase my books.
I need to be able to post hotlinks to the online bookstores where my books can
be purchased. I will NOT be selling my books through my site.
I would like to have pictures of my book covers and my author picture on my
website, as well as a handful of other graphics/clipart and illustrations, the
latter of which are copyrighted and owned by me.
I would like to set up an interactive message board in which my readers can
participate (with myself as the admin.) via a registration process.
I would like to be able to participate in link exchanges via my website.
I would like to learn how I can change my website text when needed, as I will be
posting new information (and substituting old information) on my site regularly,
and I need my website to be able to accomodate this.
I would like to drive traffic to my website via service provider's suggestions,
of which I will have sole control over said choices/options.
