We need a room reservation program written in VB.net. When all is finished we will need all the un-compiled files and full rights to modify and/or redistribute the program. You may, of course, also re-use the program as you see fit. The back-end database will be MS Access (database not yet set up…your decision how best to set up the data). The program will be run on multiple client computers, networked. They will all use one common database (mapped through a shared drive), the location of which must be configurable through an options menu. It should be VERY simple to use, and assume that the user has little or no training. The main form (where rooms are reserved) should contain a drop down list to select the ROOM (list content edited globally in config). The user should select the DATE, preferably from a graphical calendar. The event must be able to be set as recurring (this date every month or every Wednesday, etc…with an ending date) or must allow multiple days to be consecutively selected (a meeting from 10A-2P for the whole week Mon-Fri). These may be selected in a pop-up form for "advances scheduling", or may be kept on the main form if space allows. There will need to be a START and END time (selectable from a dropdown list(s)…standard increments of 15 minutes). If a time/date/room conflict occurs, the user should be notified and given the option to change the selected room or time or allowed to ignore the conflict (allow concurrent events to overlap). The reservation details that will be needed are the expected NUMBER OF PEOPLE in attendance, any required SET UP items (check box with items like - tables, flip-chart, screen, etc - list edited globally in config). GROUP NAME (list content edited globally in config) with option to type in a group name if the correct one is not provided in the list. There should be a textbox for NOTES. The last input field is SPONSOR and the SPONSOR PHONE number and SPONSOR EMAIL. These should be available in a drop down list (list content edited globally in config) and the phone number / email should be paired with the sponsor name automatically. The following reports must be generated when needed, and displayed on the screen and, if requested either output as a file or printed (file output is probably easier, but this is up to you): VACANT ROOMS (by day) WEEK REPORT (all events and details for week of */*/** sorted by date and start time) MONTH REPORT (same as above but monthly, with fewer details...just date, room, and group name) GROUP REPORT (all scheduled events for specific group (select month)) ROOM REPORT (events scheduled in specific room...available for day or month) This project is for a small church to manage the groups that use the various classrooms and such throughout the week. There is no major timetable to be met, as we already have a system that works (just quite tedious). After the project is completed, we may be looking for a long-term relationship to expand the system to incorporate other things. Please quote your best price, as we are on a very limited budget.
