Python happens to be a nice language to learn. Its syntax is simple and it has some very powerful features built into the language. It supports lots of programming styles from the very simple through to state of the art Object Oriented techniques. It runs on lots of platforms - Unix/Linux, MS Windows, Macintosh etc. It also has a very friendly and helpful user community. All of these are important features for a beginner's language. """ This project only concerns the completion of the assignment. The assignment consists of 2 parts. A) Review, run, and comment on Python script: gaf010.py B) Translate block of text titled: Why Python? Bid accordingly. This project is an attempt to "test and pay" several different service providers which in this case will be support/tutors/advisors. It maybe run several times to evaluate different applicants. Interested parties should have: A. Good english language and communication skills B. High level of patience and genuine willingness to teach C. The ability to teach or convey complicated or technical concepts effectively to a non-technical person. D. Experience and knowledge of at least one of the areas listed below. Other areas of interest include: 1. Databases: SQLite & MySQL - basic overview, setup, maintenance, backups and restores 2. Web Site: linux - general overview, account setup, maintenance. Working on mapmason.info 3. E-mail: general overview, Pop3, #p+o+n, SMTP, Gmail/webmail, etc 4. Remote paired programming, working via a collaborative real-time editor, Google docs, and email. 5. Internet/Web: General overview of current web technology eg, RSS, Web 2.0, Blogs, SEO basic etc 6. Excel, spreadsheets 7. CAD, especially AutoCAD 6.
