General •Built in asp.net, MSSQL database. •Property for sale/Rent portal site for multiple agents .Builders (Developers) in botswana•3 member types: Agents, Developers and registered users of the site. Membership not required for browsing/searching and enquiring, but needed to support setup of email alerts, e-newsletters and short-listed properties or saved searches and also needed for becoming an advertiser. •Banner/MPU/Tile/Skyscraper slots - Google Ad server integration. •Newsletter signup available for all users (become a member first). SEO •Google friendly URLs, Title tags not same site-wide - automatically generate from page content. Correct use of H1, H2 and H3 tags. Homepage •Search box – By predefined: sub region, min price, max price, bedrooms and keyword + advanced search link (see below) www.foxtons.co.uk •Search by map - Image Map (clickable to regional area taking to results for that area) •Latest 10 properties added listing on homepage - thumbnail and brief text with link to property, with additional link after 10 properties to a dedicated page with last 50 properties added •Newsletter signup box •Featured Properties (5 max rotating between regional featured property) •Advanced search – http://www.magicbricks.com/property/faces/jsp/search/propertySearch.jsp (Exclude Area/Size Display Options) Search Results Page •‘Your search produced x properties in x (region)’ text with database pulling in area and property number. •If no results found for search – ‘Sorry no matching properties found’ with save your search option to get automatic updates by email. •Search results page displays 8 to 10 properties per page with next, previous and numbering for navigation (paging). •Results show thumbnail (clickable to advert), price, area (clickable to area), property type, bedrooms and summary text, plus agent (link to agents page) or private seller (no link), more info (clickable to advert) and ‘save property’ link. •Price for each property has link to currency converter (affiliate deal) to convert to pounds – auto fill converter with each property price. •Save your search option at top of page •RSS feed at top of page •Sort by price ascending/descending order •Search box and advance search as per homepage •Featured property will show per area at the top of any search - controlled by admin (see below) •Featured properties flagged, new on (last 2 weeks) flagged as such Property Details Page •Title of Property Advert, region and price • Include options for Virtual Tours/Floor Maps/ •Email to a friend, save property, more properties in this area links •Large picture with thumbnails underneath to enlarge into new window when clicked •Key features to show property type, number of bedrooms, new build, swimming pool, garage, parking, gym, garden, parking as applicable •Long description wording for advert (no html can be added by advertiser) •Contact the seller form (sends templated email and stores in my account area for seller) •Print page option •All properties added to site by agents and private sellers need to select a town from a drop down list. Agent Page •Agent logo, agent address, website url, email (mailto with ?subject line), phone 1, phone 2, text description of agent, link to view all properties by this agent. Advertise your property page •Private Property advertising: Text + link to merchant system •Agent Property advertising: Text + link to contact us page About us page •Text only page Contact us page •Text only page Login page •Login: Email address/password/forgotten password page/remember me •Link to create an account page Register Page •Name/email/password/repeat password/house name/number/street/town/district/City/Town (dropdown)/phone number. Logged in: Member: Edit your profile View saved searches – turn alert per search on/off View shortlisted property Log out Builders/Developers page (same as member above but in addition): -View Your Property Enquiries Online (as well as enquiries being emailed to private sellers) -Manage your property listing Agent Page (same as private seller above in addition): Edit your agent page (text, logo etc) Admin System • Member Agents /Builders can create and manage their own property adverts. •Track site activity, statistics (viewing figures etc) and generate reports. •Setup price rates packages (bulk listing packages) with auto countdown of adverts left for agents. •Integrated to a payment gateway merchant service. •Admin control to list ‘featured’ property on main search page. •Admin control to Add/Edit/Delete Categories/towns and all search fields. •Delete/edit/browse registered email alert lists. •Change Default META Description •Change Default META Keywords •Change Default Site Title •Track site activity, statistics (viewing figures etc) and generate reports Admin System - Property •Create New Property Listing (advert): Admin can add new listing and associate with an agent or private seller (property code, District, Town/City, price min, price max, property type, short description (unlimited text), long description, agent (drop down) or private seller (drop down – for private seller also have expiry date – agents will depend on their agency package), bedrooms, swimming pool, garage, parking, gym, garden, parking, new build, picture upload (as many as we want) with delete option for pics, save, cancel. No HTML editor required. •Manage Listings: Search and Select Town/City (all adverts assigned to a Town/City), select listing and amend. • Uploading Pictures • Virtual Tours/Floormaps •Homepage and Town/City feature property (list property on site and tick to feature/un-feature) •View Expiring Adverts: Search and List expired ads and tick/un-tick and click to send expiry message. Admin System – Members •Mass email function to email – all members (e-newsletters), private advertisers and agents. •Manage Members – search and edit - login details, contact details, and delete member option. •Manage Agents – search and edit - agent details for showing on site (agent name, description, address, web address, phone, enquiry email, logo (upload and delete), advertising period, number of properties/credits allowed in package, agent login details, agent contact details (for admin use). And delete/hide agent option. Report of performance (number of views and clicks per advert) •Private Sellers – search and edit - login details, contact details, assign a advert/credit to a member, show current credits and expiry (amend and delete) and delete private seller option. Feeds •XML feed system – aggregate a feed from other agent sites and add to property database. Would like same functionailty like the website of foxtons.co.uk, look and feel similar too but different layout/design.
