Description: |
Alright. I have a CRE-loaded OSCommerce template that I believe does pretty much everything I need it to do. But it's ugly, and is laid out poorly. I want to throw out the graphic design and the site map of the template and rebuild it entirely (and tweak the functionality a bit, if possible). Here's what we're thinking. On the design end: I've attached a file with some example sites. These are two sites that have the simplicity I'm looking for...and one other one that has the overall vibe (but not the simplicity). Site map will be similar to bustedtees or glarkware. Additionally, I'd like the ability to tweak the items on the homepage with a bit of html editing, so it's not always static. The style we're going for is clean, with a bit of that funky urban outfitters/deconstructed vibe thrown in. Cart functionality: Most of this is included in oscommerce, but here's what I'm looking for: - shipping methods & calculation. - payment gateway integration. - sales tax - ability to manage catalog - inventory management - ability to show inventory levels of what's in stock and what's out of stock on each item page. - printing of invoices and shipping labels. - ability to export inventory in a flat file (for Bizrate and Shopping.com feed purposes). I'd also like to be able to add a few minor features - ability for designers to email design suggestions, ability to email some of my shirt designs as ecards (I know there are scripts out there to do this), mailing list, and a link exchange (possibly - as long as the design of it doesn't clutter up the site.) A lot of this may be included in the CRE-loaded template. In short, it's your standard hip tshirt shop online. Obviously it would help if it employed some SEO techniques. I'd prefer it be mostly html and css, though some flash can make its way in, as long as it's not all-encompassing. Sorry for the lengthy description - I'd rather you have more info than too little.
