I need someone who knows exactly what Yahoo groups are and know how they function. So if you have never created and managed a Yahoo group before I would suggest that you to got to Yahoo.com and sign up for an account, and then go to the groups page (groups.yahoo.com) and create (start) a group of your own so you can see exactly how they work ... but that is up to you of course. The script functions much like a content management system but I feel it is smaller and much simpler because it's sole purpose was to be mass produced. I do not just want a simple group (one group) created for my personal use, I want to be the host and offer groups to my website visitors/members. I want to allow visitors to my website the opportunity to create an account and then a group of their own that will be hosted on my website. I then will charge charge my group owners a small monthly fee for hosting their groups instead of getting involved with all of the advertising blocks and what not. No special Ecommerce will have to be installed on this script as I want my members to be able to create their groups for free on a trial basis that I will monitor myself and manage. All I will need is an admin control panel to login to where I can manage members (view their account information, and delete their accounts if they choose not to pay for them after their free trial period has expired.) I will just send them a Paypal bill via email after their 1 month free trial period has expired. So basically the script would have to gather member's information such as username, password, real name, email address, group name, group description to display on group's homepage, before creating their account and creating and publishing their group to my web hosting account's directory. Once their group is created, they will be able to login as the admin/moderator of their group and manage all of their own group members/subscribers through their admin control panel. Like I said earlier, if you want to see exactly how a script like this works just go to groups.yahoo.com and join somebody's group to see how it functions from a member's point of view, or better yet, create your own group and play with the admin controls to see how a group admin's control panel works also. PS: It would also be nice for the script to create a member's directory probably via php datbase to display on my homepage so that our site visitors/members could search and view all of our member's groups.
