My website http://www.hosting-buyers-guide.com has a search feature so you can
search through hosting plans.
When a search is run, if the results bring up too many results, the page is very
slow to load, and in cases with very many results, the page does not load
correctly.
So what I need done is this. I need a pages feature, so that for each page there
are only 30 results per page and pages are automatically generated. So if your
search has 100 results, there would be 4 pages.
Also, let me know if this will fix my problem of the slow load times when
running a search.
One thing that needs to be possible is the ‘sort' feature I use on my engine
needs to be able to sort ALL of the pages at once. So if someone decides to sort
by lowest price, the searches are truly sorted by lowest price. So if the
company with the lowest price was by default on page 3, after the person runs
the sort for lowest price, that result from page 3 will be brought to page 1.
I'll give you an example so you can see what I'm talking about.
Follow this link: http://www.hosting-buyers-guide.com/planlist.php, and click on
the 'PHP Plans' link and you'll see the search is VERY slow and when it does
load, it loads incorrectly.
Other searches are just slow, while the pages load fine.
But let me know if these problems (page rendering issue and slow load times) can
be fixed by adding the 30-50 results per page feature.
Also, anything you can do to speed up the search results is also needed. If you
come across something in the database or a tweak you can make to speed things
up, please do it.
(If you know a different way to fix my problem, please place your bid and let me
know what your solution is.)

wanted to add something before anyone makes a bid. The point of this project is
basically to fix the page loading times and page rendering issues with large
searches. Your paid when the problem is fixed. To my knowledge, adding the pages
feature will fix this problem, so please check and make sure it will. If adding
this feature does not fix the problem, I won't use your work, but I also won't
pay you. So please be SURE that you know how to fix my problem before
bidding.
