The SSL is necessary to comply with the Southern California BBB requirements – at least the portion of the Web site that will capture customer data must be secure. 2. create a custom ‘text calculating’ field for each product. Please see (http://thingsremembered.com) for an example; after choosing a product, the customer must click on a “personalize and add to shopping cart” button. The resulting page contains a text field that automatically totals the number of words and adds this to the cost of the item. This is exactly what we need as most of our products will be laser engraved gifts. The ‘back-end’ should have functionality to allow us to determine the fee for each word. 3. create a check box to allow customers to select “gift wrapping” for each item. We must be able to adjust the cost of this as any other item. 4. customize the purchase confirmation email (should be a minor task for the experienced coder). Please, established and serious coders only - this Web site’s appearance of efficiency will dramatically affect our profitability and marketability. We are an established business branching out to the awards and recognition industry and aim to compete against Things Remembered. We currently service most of Los Angeles and Orange Counties and would prefer (not absolutely necessary but preferred) someone in the United States to facilitate phone calls on minor issues. Whether local or not, you must be able to communicate with a one-day turnaround. Additionally, we would like someone who will not only complete the project the first time, but add value to their work by suggesting correcting or modifying 'little' things that we might have overlooked. Additional modifications will be requested soon after completion of this project, and we would prefer to establish an ongoing relationship now.
