we working in the adult business and have a gallery/thumb script which was custom made years ago. To keep up with the changes in the market we need to get some new features developed into the exiting script. It will be a combination of developing new smaller features and adjusting current features / structure. The script is made in PHP with MySQL DB. The script is installed on two servers, so you need to understand about how to sync. DB's between servers and has the script read correctly from its own DB It would require that you have very good PHP programming skills since you would be working on an existing advanced script. You also would need good MySQL skills since it is massive databases with a LOT of daily traffic. Finally you would also need a good understanding of servers. Structure - Disable so the script doesn't automatically generate thumbs. Instead those galleries should be put in a “pending section” so we manually can make the thumbs. - From the pending section the gallery will go to the section for “active thumbs” if we make a thumb for the gallery. If the gallery is bad we want to be able to move it to the section for “inactive thumbs”. As well as an option for deleting the gallery. If the gallery is deleted then the matching thumbs should be deleted from the db and server as well. - The active section does already exist but the inactive section needs to be made. It should be possible to make an active thumb inactive. As well as it should be possible to make a thumb of a gallery in the inactive section so that the thumb becomes active. - Currently the script saves all the thumbs in one directory which is not optimal. We would like that it saves the thumbs differently, where it maybe put only 1000 pictures in one dir based on which size the thumbs are. Because the problems we have are that we have 800,000 thumbs in one directory which is impossible to access because of high load times. Cropping - we currently have 2 ways of cropping a thumb … what we need is a 3'rd way which I will describe here. - We go to a gallery and click on a thumb to see the big picture. When we find a big picture we like then it should have a feature so that it saves the big picture on my harddisk with just one click. It would be good if it always could save it at c:/thumb/thumb_new.jpg and just overwrite the previous thumb. That way I can prepare the thumb in photo programs on my computer. - When I have prepared the thumb on my harddisk then I should have a button at top of the gallery that says import thumb. When I click that button then it grabs the thumb from my harddisk and stores it correctly on the server. The path for the thumb that it should import will always be c:/thumb/thumb_done.jpg – Then the thumb should become active. Other - After the changes I am sure that the front-end linking codes needs some adjustments so that the thumb sites are only listing galleries from the active thumb section. - Also keep in mind that a gallery can still be active on cat sites and desc sites even though the thumb is inactive. - We are running the script on two servers, so you need to have a good understanding of servers and sync. of db's.
