Description: |
My Schema is as follows: Department(DeptNum, Descrip, Instname, DeptName, State, Postcode) Academic(AcNum, DeptNum, FamName, GiveName, Initials, Title) Paper(PaNum, Title) Author(*PaNum, *AcNum) Field(FieldNum, ID, Title) Interest(*FieldNum, *AcNum, Descrip) I need simple SQL queries to look for the following: How many distinct authors of papers are there? (That is, if an academic has written more than one paper, he (she) is one distinct author.) Are there any departments whose names are null? If so, display all their details. Do any institutions have a department where no academics have written a paper? If so, return the name of the institution and the department number. Are there any departments that do not employ any academics? If so, show full details of those departments. List the paper numbers of papers that have been co-authored by 3 people. Are there any academics with the same family name that have provided the same description for their field of interest? If so, return their given name, family name and the description of their field of interest. Which academics have published a paper with at least one academic from Tasmania? Return their academic number, given name, family name, and department number. (Use LIKE '%Tas%' to build the query in stages.) I need this done in 7 days. As you can see, it's very simple queries.
