to create a custom database for shareholder information, certificate info, and more. We need our info instantaneously updated on the fly over a network connected to our other offices with the ability (if possible) to go back to any revision in case critical editions are made (e.g. how google docs works with collaborations and such) We run a stock certificate transfer agency and we need to store individual certificate information and company/client info. We want the information to only have to be entered once and be used in various ways, i.e. being able to print stock certificates from information previously entered, being able to print out reports based on information already in the databse, and more. Customizeable reports would be nice as well. We need the database to be scalable, meaning if we end up with 10, 20, 50, etc employees, with thousands of companies and hundreds of thousands of clients/shareholders, we need the database to continue to work as such. If possible we would like integration with MS Excell and Quickbooks (Excell is needed more than Quickbooks) We need comprehensive search capabilities, filter functions and such when entering information and what not. Configurable hotkeys would be nice but not neccesarily needed. We have a current databse situated in MS Access which we absolutely NEED transferred over to the new database, this is a must. And we must be able to work independantly in the same database at the same time, this is an obvious must. Pricing can be discussed at a point where we are ready to move forward with the project. I am not listing any programming languages to be used as I am unsure of what would be optimal for our needs, all that I know for certain is that be probably need SQL database, as that seems to be popular amoung other transfer agencies.
