The site will display pictures and thumbnails of used equipment such as CNC machinery, manual machinery, grinders, mills, lathes, tooling etc. Along with the pictures will be a description, location, option to display pricing. Also need the ability to add custom fields based on machinery category. The fields would be displayed with the description of the equipment. So basically it's like a shopping site but without the ability to purchase online. We don't need a payment gateway. Admin will be the only person that can add or remove content and add more fields, control image sizes etc. Take a look at this website, www.dremed.com even though it is for the medical industry I like the way it looks and works so something like this and the features it has would be perfect. There is also a built in quote cart that I would like. I also like the lightbox feature. The site needs to be Search Engine Friendly URL's. Also as inventory is sold and deleted the database needs to delete the item as well as pictures related to it so the site is is clean.
