Ideally for someone who has done something like this before and has some
code/knowledge that he/they could reuse.

I'm looking for someone to develop and design a social network for me with the
basic functionality to start with.

Something like http://www.studivz.net with user profiles, images and groups. (in
terms of functionality - the design part I'd like to be a lot better and more
2.0 modern)

It should be extremely easy to use - probably augmentet throught the use of Ajax
like that site does (try writing someone a message or uploading an image gallery
with comments).

I have a few projects actually that are heading in this direction and that I
don't have time to do myself but am willing to finance myself. And in reality am
looking for a group with experience that could do it for me - creative people
that can also suggest their own ideas (around my idea-skeleton) and know how to
see them through.

BEWARE - I'm also a designer and a programmer and have been for the last 10
years - and am really critical on what passes for good web-design!

Which means that I will look at your server code + the first thing I'll normally
do is run your client output through a HTML and CSS validator.
