just want to give an immediate idea of what kind of a project this is. For most part i will need the exact functions of this website. (Please visit website first and make sure you understand what is expected from you) It is fairly simple website to develop - users submit definitions of words and if the definition is approved it is published. One term can have more than one definition.Definitions of a particular term are ranked based on users' voting. Most probably the programmer will need to use PHP and Mysql (I'd prefer PHP). It is a comparatively simple task for an experienced professional. If it seems like a lot of work for you for this price please don't bid. This project will be done in stages. This bid is for First stage only. I will pay for each completed stage separately to make it less risky and more flexible for me and you. ==== First stage ===== In this stage most of the functions will be the same as on UD except for definition approval process. For the time being, the definition approval process should be simple , such that, at the back end I should have the interface to decline or approve the submitted definitions. Once approved the definition should be published. ==== Second stage ===== In the second stage I will need a more sophisticated definition approval process. Similar to UD there should be a system for volunteers to sign up as editors and approve/decline the definitions so that I don't have to do it all myself. (Please make sure you understand how it works at UD). In the future i might need a system to track users by their IP addresses etc., More info on this stage will be provided later. After i select the programmer we will negotiate the details of this project in more detail. I want a decent professional for a long term project, someone who knows how to work with the customers. If I am satisfied by your work for the First Stage i will hire you for further stages of this project. Moreover, i have other projects of this size and bigger along the way. If I am satisfied by your work overall i will be glad to grant you my future projects. I hope to have a fruitful mutual professional relationship. I will make payment using Scriptlance's escrow service to protect both of us. I will deposit funds in your name and release them only when I make sure everything works on my remote server and completely fullfills my specifications. AGAIN, SERIOUS COMMITTED PROFESSIONALS ONLY.
