Description: |
Create a Mysql database. The data to be inserted is dataword,#,#,#,#,#,#,#P,#P,#P,#T,#T2,date. This will also involve moving data from a Postgres database that contains dataword,#,#,#. I'm not a programmer so I don't know how many records or database layout. If you need specific info and tell me how to get the info, I'll get it. I also need to add to the database 2 different text files that contains lines of dataword,#. The process of inserting the data from my Postgres database and 2 text files will only need to be done once. The rest of the data to be inserted will come from .gz files processed automatically by cron. This will be the only continuing way data is added. To clarify in "dataword,#,#,#,#,#,#,#P,#P,#P,#T,date", the #P is a number associated with a dataword gathered from my Postgres database. #T is the number gathered from the text file. #T2 is the number gathered from the second text file. There should not be any duplicate datawords. The .gz files to be processed will contain lines of dataword,#,#,#,#,#,#,#. The files will need to be filtered of lines that contain "0,0,0,0,0,0" before being inserted into the database. Once processed you will be copy them into another directory. Retrieving the Data: I need a web interface that contains a form input box and an upload file option. Here is a mock up http://216.12.223.245/input.gif. The form input box will be for me to paste "datawords" to retrieve data associated with them. For the file upload, the files uploaded will either be only datawords in one column or a large file containing "dataword:2008.01.08.00.00.00" on each line. "2008.01.08" being a dynamic date. You will strip the .00.00.00. You query each dataword in the file. If any are found in the database you will do an insert of the date that follows the ":" into the date column. Then you will display all the datawords with any corresponding data found in the database. You can look at a mock up of what the results of a query could contain here http://216.12.223.245/mockup.gif. Notice that I need a sort by each column and an option for page size. This is more complicated that I could put in the title. Don't hesitate to ask me any questions. I'm not accustomed to creating project specifications.
