Description: |
Hello, We have one image directory on our Linux server that contains many .jpg and .gif images. These image files are named after an ID -- some IDs have more than one image. Here is an actual file listing of this directory: 1.jpg 1b.jpg 1c.jpg 1d.gif 2.jpg 2b.jpg 3.jpg 4.jpg ID NUMBER 1 has 4 total images (1,1b,1c,1d), and ID NUMBER 2 has 2 total images (2,2b). What we need is a PHP or CGI script to read the filenames in this directory and update our MySQL database in one single table. The database table fields are: ID Filename1 Filename2 Filename3 Filename4 Filename5 Filename6 Filename7 Filename8 Filename9 Filename10 Filename11 Filename12 Filename13 Filename14 Filename15 Filename16 Filename1 through Filename16 is the name of the image files for that ID. When the script is executed, it must insert or update the table like this: ID: 1 Filename1: 1.jpg Filename2: 1b.jpg Filename3: 1c.jpg Filename4: 1d.gif ID: 2 Filename1: 2.jpg Filename2: 2b.jpg ID: 3 Filename1: 3.jpg ID: 4 Filename4: 4.jpg We will use FTP to upload new pictures every day to our image directory. Some pictures will be new ID numbers (these will need to be added to the database), some will be replacement images (1.jpg could become 1.gif, or it could be deleted), and some images could be additional images for an existing ID (for example, 7.jpg and 8.jpg) and these will need to be added to the database. After our FTP upload, we will run the script to do the database update. Please ask any questions before bidding. Thank you for your interest.
