I'm looking to develop a link list. I want it to be very simple
looking(something like http://www.manpics2000.com/) yet has some sophisticated
features to showcase sponsors (something like http://www.gaydemon.com/).
I want ease of use so that if I decide to one day take it from a simple looking
site (such as manpics2000.com) to a sophisticated one (such as gaydemon.com), I
will be able to customize my HTML by myself really easily.
My knowledge of programming is limited, but I've got good HTML skills.
I want some key features that I'm not finding in an off-the-shelf solution,
including:
- Reciporcal link verification
- Easy to customize look and easy to operate
- Ability to display feature links that are uniquely different from the other
basic links(that will lead to my sponsors)
- links that open up in a new browser (so that the only way somebody will leave
my site is by closing it).
- the ability to input google links on the side (or other sponsors' banners)
These are features that I'm looking for on top of the typical link programs out
there, specifically the two below.
I've found a few that would work if I could manage all of the above:

So, I'm not sure what's best here: working with either of the two above to
customize it according to the key features I'm after or starting from scratch
with a new script.

I
didn't mention this in my original description, but I want the script to give me
the option to either use the script dynamically or for it to generate static
HTML pages. I want this option because at first, I want the search engines to be
able to pick up the pages and it works better if they're static from what I
understand.
