Do not bid unless you are fluent in Perl/CGI and have a lot of experience. Here is what needs to be done: I currently have a script that was made by a programmer here at scriptlance, but had to quit. The script was made to extract products from an oscommerce car website called VIVIDRACING.COM and populate MY database with THEIR products. The script extracts all of the categories, their appropriate structure, and it also extracts all of the products, the product information, manufactorers that made the product etc. etc. It also extracts all of the images from the website, and places them in a directory on my website. Both sites (My site and Vividracing.com) are Oscommerce, with the CRE LOADED modification. The script works great. Except the programmer forgot to do one thing.. The script downloads the main image, which is very big, and gets pixelated when it is made smaller with oscommerce settings. But it does not download the smaller image for the product. THIS IS VITAL THAT IT DOES THIS. The smaller image is used in the product description area and in the categories. It makes the site look better. In CRE Loaded you can add two types of images, one thats the small one, and one that is going to be in the popup when the user clicks "Enlarge Image" If you check out Vividracing.com, you will understand what I mean. Check out some of their products and get an understand of how it works before bidding on this project. So in a nutshell, the script I currently have does not extract the small images, and it does not place their information in the database. It NEEDS to do this, and if you can't figure out how the script works and you won't know how to do this don't bid. If you cannot get the script to do this do not bid. It should be very simple once the programmer looks at my extraction script and understands it how it works.
