Description: |
I need some coding done to resolve a Zen-Cart v1.1.1 coupon tool issue. The following is an issue we've had to work around for a while, and in the scheme of things, it's unfortunately been a major problem because previous customers keep requesting discount codes for popular items. There's been a problem with our coupon tool: · Upon checkout the coupon code works when we have an across-the-board discount for all products in all categories with no restrictions (regardless of whether or not any of the products have attributes). · It also works when we specifically discount a product or products that have absolutely NO attributes. · But, if we try to discount an entire category the discount code doesn't work upon checkout. · Also, if we try to specifically discount any products that have attributes, the discount code doesn't work upon checkout. Unfortunately, this has been a thorn in my side, although it's a know bug that was addressed in later releases (v1.2.x), there is too much customization on our site to do a straightforward upgrade. Let me know if this makes sense or if you need more clarification. I have all the files you need in a .zip file - www.nycgeneralstore.com/to_coder.zip Our server info is: Zen Cart Beta Release 1.1.1 Server OS: Linux 2.4.24-grsec Database: MySQL 4.0.21-log Server Date: 09/27/2004 11:36:22 Datebase Date: 09/27/2004 11:36:22 PHP Version: 4.3.8 (Zend: 1.3.0) HTTP Server: Apache IMPORTANT NOTE Although this issue may have been addressed insubsequent versions of Zen-Cart (v1.2.x), portions of our admin tool have been customized, as well as our checkout pages. So if there is a way to borrow the new code from a currently working version of Zen, that'd be the way to go, though I don't have detailed knowledge of how the coupon system works, the checkout section, and how the two communicate with each other, so I can't simply "grab" the code I would need unfortunately. Please let me know if you have expertise in this area, as we don't want to pay for your learning curve, and what you would charge for this.
