I need asap a litle php script modification.
I already have one script written in php which extracts links of the brazilian
directory of the Yahoo and insert all data in mysql database of a kind of links
script.
I need to modify this script to use with another mysql database a little
different.
All usual fields are the same: URL , NUMBER, TITLE, DESCRIPTION and CATEGORY but
the name of that fields are different in the new Mysql database as:
NUMBER is now ID, TITLE is now LINKTITLE, DESCRIPTION is now DETAILS and the
CATEGORY work in different way, I can't explain how because I am not a
programmer.
The modifications will have to result in 2 versions of script, one for Brazilian
Yahoo Directory and the second script to USA Yahoo Directory because I believe
are of different estructures
How my script work:
a) I call the script by browser with the URL
http://www.domain.com/sub_dir/yahoo.php
c) The script show me a form with 3 fields: "URL" where I need to type the URL
of diretory like "http://br.dir.yahoo.com/Internet/Bate_Papo_e_Foruns/IRC/",
number of links to retrieve and desire category where links will be inserted
( dropdown menu with category names)
c) The form have two buttons "test" and "submit". First I need to click in the
"test"
button to retrieve all links. If links shown will be OK then I must to click
in the
"submited" button to insert the links in database
The current script has the following configuration, what means all links will be
insert as the same owner, the Webmaster or admin of course

$s[name] = 'webmaster'
$s[email] = 'contact#domain.com'
$s[ignore] =
array('yahoo.com','tripod.com','openlink.com.br','uol.com.br','geocities.com')
where:
[password] is the pw for the owner of script, the Webmaster or admin
[email] the email of webmaster obligator to be able to modify link in the future
[ignore] to avoid indexation of links from domains undesirable
I will sent the sql and yahoo script for the chosen programmer.

EST)...

NOTE: to prevent misunderstanding I like to say: My database
cannot be modify, only the script wich must be adapted to function with the
current database.
I forgot to explain previously that script current has as include files :
common.php and data.php, both from the links script which does not exist in new
link script.
