Rising Stars is a School of Music and Art. We have 160 students and it is
growing. We need a good system to track our students lesson plans (want these
online) and for parents to be able to login and see the account status (paid
with $60 left for the semester) - minor accounting). The parents need to be
able to reply to the teachers from the login to provide feedback. Also a
teacher rating system that will go to the Admin. The teachers need a login to
track their particular students and schedules for the day/week as well as
Payroll YTD and next pay period.
WHAT WE ALREADY HAVE
This project is halfway finished. We have a crude lesson plan. We have the
online registration coming inot the MySQL into a registration table. We have
teacher logins (can create them and set levels). We have an admin login with
access to everything. The parent login in sort of finished but need some forms
work still.
WHAT WE STILL NEED
We need the model to be more usable. The parent login and trackability needs to
be complete. We also need a scheduling tool for the teachers. The admin will
set the schedule or better yet if there is a way to just import Outlook calendar
every week). The teachers need to be able to access their student info at a
read only information level. This is started but needs work. There are a few
update features that need to be added as well. We have raw entry of things like
lesson plans, but going back to update them is not possible yet.
WHAT WE ARE WILLING TO DO
We can create all the forms pages. No need to pay someone to do that. Then the
programmer can link the forms pages to the database.
