The fields we need will be discussed later in the project, but I would imagine there to be around 20 or so. A database that can only be accessed via search is not acceptable, although a search facility based on the above structure plus possibly another two or three fields (child friendly, average cost etc) would be needed. The site would need to allow the restaurant owner to sign in so the facility for them to update pictures and listing details via a control panel is essential. The site would have to be search engine friendly, so individual page titles is essential. This can be done by way of pulling the information from the restaurant title plus a bread crumb directory trail. (sorry about the pun), and clean urls without query strings, or a minimum of one or two. (I am quite happy for mod re-write here as we are on apache). A basic layout would be needed with an overall header/footer etc so that we can simply change these to customise the look and feel of the site. CSS is a must also a must. This is the first of many projects we will be working on.
