I am looking for a clone of logmein.com or GotoMyPC.com. I am not sure what language these sites are built in. We currently have a linux server. Please tell me what you have done in the past, examples would be good. If you can help me out with this project and make me a good deal on this project, I can send a ton of work your way. I can do any PHP, MySQL programming you need done, I am just not sure what we need to actually take control of the PC Remotely. Thanks For your help, please let me know what language you would use to program the remote control.
Additional Info (Added 2/10/2005 at 21:41 EST)...I am extending this project. Please read the following and make sure you can do this project. We will be picking someone in 24 hours. If you do not respond to this we will not pick you. We are building this for a local IT department who supplies support to multiple locations (Hospitals). Please read this document carefully and let us know how much you would charge? How much time it would take? What would you code the software in? Definition of Terms: 1) Server: means the Linux or Windows Server 2) iHelp Server: refers to the server we need built for our clients and technicians to connect to. 3) iHelp Client: refers to the piece of software our clients will download on any Windows operating system. It should be small in size and the client should not have to or be able to configure it at all. 4) iHelp Viewer: refers to the piece of software that will probably be built in Java that our technicians will be able to connect to the iHelp server and select an iHelp client to connect to. The iHelp Viewer should be a web browser plug-in. It shoud give us complete control of the iHelp Client. Overview: The iHelp Client should connect to the iHelp server. The iHelp Client should be able to go through any firewall and router without having to configure them or disable them. Basically I think what we are doing is a reverse connection from the iHelp Client to the iHelp Server. The iHelp Client should be connected at all times. When the user requests support from the iHelp system the iHelp Client will tell the server ok, this user requested support (each user will have a unique ID) then the iHelp Server will ring all available technicians PC’s (iHelp Viewer). The first technician who answers the call will gain remote access through the iHelp Viewer.
iHelp Server I am hoping we can develop a solution for a Linux box. I am not sure what this will be built in but we need to connect it to a MySQL database that I have already built to verify user accounts for customers and technicians. Please advise me on what else we should do with this. iHelp Client This should be a small piece of software that the customer downloads on any Windows operating system. It should configure itself to see the iHelp Server. The iHelp Client should be displayed in the system tray and when a user clicks on the icon they should get a menu. Menu item 1) Request Support, Menu Item 2) Visit iHelp Website. The iHelp Client should be able to be visible through any firewall or router. iHelp Viewer The technicians will use this to view the customers screen and take control of their PC. The iHelp View should allow complete control including file transfer, chat, and remote control. This will be a browser plug-in developed probably in Java. Examples Please see logmein.com, gotomypc.com for examples of the iHelp Client and iHelp Viewer.
Thank you for your interest in iHelp software. If you have additional questions please let me know.
