This project should be simple for someone who has a good knowledge of PHP.
Essentially, the project is to upgrade a script which currently splits a text
file into a number of pages. These pages are currently of a fixed length and the
pages generated do not end at a natural point on the page.
This project will deliver a script that generates pages with a varying number of
words, based on a random number between two variables. These variables will be
input into a setup page.
However, in addition to the random number of words on the page, the script needs
to identify a natural position in a document to finish one page and start
another. So each page should only finish being generated either at the end of a
paragraph or at the end of a chapter.
So, simply, each page needs to follow the same criteria.
The number of words on a page should be “greater than or equal to” the random
number of pages input on the set up page AND “PLUS” the number of words required
to reach the end of the paragraph.
So...
“Page Words” = “Random Number of words” + “no. words to end paragraph”
Attached is a .ZIP file that includes a more detailed brief. Please ensure that
you read this prior to submitting your bid.
The current script will be sent to the successful bidder.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form on the
server as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows:
a) The script will be suitable to run on most servers.
b) The upgraded script will be provided with instruction on the new
functionality
c) The script should be in complete working order, with no additional changes
required to the root code.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright
law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
(No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are
explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal
Agreement).
