I am in urgent need of a php programmer to take care of this task below and
other projects I have:
Project Description:
I want to update the database of my site with new records. I have all records in
csv or txt format and need a script created which will import the data file into
corresponding fields.
Additional Information:
There are approx. 25 fields within the import file. This is indicated on top of
the txt file within the 1st line: ID - Type - City - StateCode - CountryCode
...
The rest of the file contains few thousand records.
Now, a lot of the fields on my site can be directly matched with the fields in
the import file. Then there are some fields which do not excist in my db and a
few fields which do not excist in the import file and also a few fields with
different parameter settings I believe.
The goal here is: Fields in import file and fields in db need to be mapped
correctly.
The way I see it is: Create a script which displays a Browse button. I will
browse for the import file manually and script will import into db.
Regarding ongoing assignments:
On successful completion, I need the exact same task repeated for another
database. The 2nd database will be easier. There are only 5 fields within import
file.
