Description: |
This will be a very small, very fast project for any PHP programmer: Iplus Soft has sold us a script for Importing Contacts. Demo available at: http://iplussoft.com/new/ We were under the impression that after selecting the contacts, users would have an opportunity to customize the message that they are sending to their contacts, and, if they would like, change the link to whatever else they would like. However, currently the script after the user selects the contacts, immediatley just sends out a default message configured in the PHP. Also, you'll notice that the 'from' field in the address is noreply at example url dot com' - this should be the sender's address, not a 'no reply' address (duh), so that the person receiving the email can reply directly to the person who sent it - and so that it does not get stuck in spam filter. So - Quick Modifications needed: 1. We would like to be able to take a strand of PHP and put it into our file footer.php to be included on all of our pages. It will be a text link that says 'Email this Page to a friend' - 2. When the user click on the link they see the screen you see in the demo above where you can input your email address and password to harvest your contacts, or enter them manually. 3. After user check box selects contacts, they press a button that says, customize message 4. They are taken to a page where the default message is already the value in the box, and the subject line is also established by a default value. However, user can change either value to be whatever they would like. The default message includes a unique variable, the 'title' attribute and url of whatever page they followed the link, 'email to friend' in the footer. That's it - very straightforward.
