I have been trying for 9 months to get a reliable webmaster to make some additional script changes to my OS COMMERCE website. I have gone through 1 who after 2 months made no changes. Now another after 10 weeks made a couple changes on test site. We wanted this project finished 5 months ago. Then we were contacted by OMsoftware from this website who was supposed to initially get it done in 15 days, we sent money, 19 days later they wanted more money, and more time we sent money. To this date we have seen nothing of evidence they are working on our website. Lately no replies to emails. We are under the impression they are taking our money but will not do the work. Beware of this company from India http://www.omsoftwaresolution.com/, raj . We will post a correction if they finish the work within 5 days. Otherwise we will let everyone know they took our money, but did not do the work. Either way we are not happy with them not keeping to their timetables, and not updating us as promised. DO NOT BID IF YOU WANT MONEY FIRST! WE ARE TIRED OF $##@% TAKING OUR MONEY BUT NOT KEEPING TO THEIR WORD! What we have decided is to start a new cart using OSMAX. OSMAX HAS SOME OF THE FEATURES WE originally wanted. But we need to add a few new features. We need some scripts added to current site that will allow us to give groups seperate price, and able to make those set prices in each item. Also we want to add the ability to make changes to order after order is placed. Finally we would like to be able to offer qty purchase discount that will total weight, and prices. We know these scripts are available as our host has set up a test site placed the scripts on the test site. However after 6 weeks he has not finished everything, and been able for us to transfer our database to new scripts. Apparently he stated he had to start over, and add all scripts fresh on work site. But to transfer data would make our website inaccurate till we change all data for the new pricing. Which may take 3 or 4 days. Best case scenario is someone who could just add these scripts to OSMAX cart. We will need the customer, and product database moved via a mapping program, or manually. We do not have time to do this so it will be up to you how to transfer the data. What we have learned from past webmasters is the databases are not straight forward, and the site pulls from 3 databases. We are not exactly how or why it does this buy we want a fresh new cart pulling from one database. This seems to have been the stopping point for a few of the past webmasters. So if need to manually copy and paste our data then figure this into cost. OMSoftware said they could make a map and do it faster. I expect this project to take approx. 20 days max. We also are looking for reliable person for future needs for the website, and consultation if need. Bottom line we are looking for a value webmaster, not cheapest, nor most expensive. Someone or company familiar with OSCOMMERCE, Someone who will complete job in reasonable time, do what they say, not cheat on time, can be understood verbally, and keep us informed. We are looking for honest, hardworking, person/s that will bill per hour accurately. The script modules needed are currently available so basically it is adding the scripts, and testing. We need a variety of price levels. Currently the scripts we have 1. Customer must create account, and be approved by us before they can view prices. 2. Email extractor so we can accumulate emails for marketing 3. group pricing only by percentage discount 4. Ability to access customers account to change orders before order finished, and ability to change their password. 5. Customer creates password on sign up 6. Products inventory Quantity report 7. Sign up includes business name What we want to add: 1. ability to give individual item price for each group we create. example Item A standard price is $1, but group X may pay 80 cents, group Z may pay $1.25, group V pay .20cent 2. Ability to change customers order after order is placed. 3. ability to offer qty discount that will total the weight, and price. example standard price is $1.00 and 1 pound for 1, buy 12 price is 80 cents each, and 12 pounds. Of course want the weight to add 12 of item, not 1 of item. 4. Ability to search customers using email, name, and business name 5. Ability to state order increments. example customer must order in qty of 12 per particular item. These are the 5 current needs.
