GeoClassAuctions by Geodesic Solutions (geodesicsolutions.com). We are looking to create a module that allows sellers to invoice buyers as described below. The project needs to be integrated with the original application, so it will probably require some code editing of the existing scripts, but the less we interfere with it, the better. I'd like to be able to apply updates from Geodesic without major problems. Developer(s) working on this project will have root access to the site, which will not be made public until the project has been completed. Also, the support team at Geodesic Solutions has indicated that they will be available to answer occasional questions regarding their code. Of course the sooner the project is completed, the better, but the timeframe is somewhat flexible. We are shooting for completion around the end of March or early April if possible. Please run through the demo site and admin (at geodesicsolutions.com) to get a feel for the program and feel free to ask questions before bidding on this project. With that said, here's an overview of what we're looking for: +++++++++++++++ Auction Groups: +++++++++++++++ Sellers and administrators can create auction groups. All items that are up for sale will either belong to one auction group or none at all. Auction groups are associated with a number of variables, some of which are used as default values during the listing process, some for display on individual item pages and in emails. Other auction group variables are used to calculate invoices. If it's helpful, auction groups can be viewed as a form of categorization that runs parallel to the regular categories. We'll be able to browse and search by auction groups. Key variables associated with auction groups: -Seller -Title -Description -Terms and conditions -Buyer's premium -Cash discount -Tax Rate -Payments accepted -Default location -Default category -Time interval between item closing -Auction group picture(s) -Auctioneer notes -Optional calculable fields (numeric) -Optional text fields / drop downs +++++++++++++++ Listing process +++++++++++++++ Auction groups contain default information that will be used during the data entry process. When listing, a seller will first select an auction group, and then proceed to the listing process, where default values are already filled in. We would like to alter the listing process so that the seller simply selects an auction group and then proceeds directly to the data entry screen, where fields are pre-populated with default values. For example, a category can be selected from a drop-down list where the default category for that particular auction group has been pre-selected. The process should look something like this: 1. Select auction group 2. Enter item details 3. Upload photos 4. Review and approve listing 5. Go back to step two ++++++++++++++++ Invoicing Buyers ++++++++++++++++ Invoices are generated when all items within an auction group have closed. Emails are sent out to buyers with a list of items purchased from an auction group. Emails contain items, prices, totals, and a list of payment options (plus applicable fees). Emails also contain a reminder of terms, removal times, auctioneer notes, and a link to view their invoice online. Seller and admin must be able to create/edit/delete invoices and invoice data. Only admin and seller can mark an invoice "paid". Key capacities for invoice administration: -Edit buyer name and contact info -Add item to invoice / Remove item from invoice (e.g. transfer item from one buyer to another) -Edit item description & final selling price -Change taxable status of an item -Change tax rate/premium/discount on a per-item or per-invoice basis. -Add custom invoice adjustment -Add/edit/delete public comments -Add/edit/delete seller comments -Notify buyer when invoice is changed or marked "paid".
