I have a site that will require the ability to narrow searchs by proximity using Canadian cities and provinces based on a Canadian postal code database that I already have. For an example, say I need the closest beer store. I would like to be able to get a list starting with the closest. The site is using a script from phpyellow I already have it working with USA city and state, using zipcode databases. I now want to add the same functions for search page for Canada on my site. I am looking to add this function to the script, with the ability to choose distances say from 50-500 miles as it does now for USA, using zopcodes, so that when it retrieves a search (for example the neareast beer store) it will return the searches but in the order they are closest and show the distance next to the returned searches for the required distance (eg. within 50 miles). Key parts of the search script are encoded but the current search by distance is not. So I am hoping someone with good knowledge of this sort of scripting will be able to build the Canadian search for distance with what they can see or with previous knowledge. Please only bid if you are familiar with these type of search scripts, and preferably have already done this, and can show me a previous working example if possible.
