Hi,
I am developing an eyewear site that will be similar to www.eyesave.com .I have
virtually all the design already created in dreamweaver as seen at
www.rpeyewear.com (the bottom right links are funtioning)
I need the backend and shopping cart functionality.
I would need someone to customize oscommerce to have the following features and
to put my look. Also there could potentaily be some design work.
I have attached some more details of what i would like done.

and work with me until satisfied.
• Basic Search and advanced search where user can search based on:
o Search by title
o Description
o Category
o Price Range etc,
(search will return results in the same format as the products are displayed for
the results should have an option to sort by price or by name or price with name
being the default)
• A fixed set of suggested items on shopping cart page
• Each item should have price and sale price. If sale price is set will take
precedence over price.

this is to possibly utilize .htaccess fie to mod rewrite.)
• Ability to set title and meta content for each product and product detail page
and all pages.
• Ability to set alt text for the images that appear on images possibly just
have the alt text set automatically from the name field( for products)
Otherwise should be able to set alt text for any image.

Also should have it setup so that Im able to have an item fall into multiple
categories with just one instance of that item in the database. For example say
I want to have a section for sale items so when a user clicks sale I put in
links to various brands which I will have particular models of that brand that
are on sale. So those models will appear in the sale category of a brand and
that category of the brand.
(sorry if im being confusing do u know what I mean?)
Note: my general structure will be
u can click sunglasses or eyeglasses on the left
atr www.rpeyewear.com to get a feel of the naviagtion
or look at the naviagtion at www.bananarepublic.com which is very similar
Sunglasses (when clicked brands come underneath)
Eyeglasses (when clicked brands come underneath)
Reading glasses (when clicked brands come underneath)
Accessories (not sure yet)
Notice that there could be the same category/brand name in for ex sunglasses and
eyeglasses because some manufacturers make both sunglasses and eyeglasses
But when the brand is clicked when it falls under sunglasses it will only show
the sunglasses and vice versa
So im not sure if this means setting it up so that the structure can be
Category(such as sunglasses/eyeglasses…) à brand à model
Comments: let me know if you don’t understand what I am talking about anywhere
and if anything will be extremely timely to do and that you wouldn’t recommend…
cause this is all new to me and if u feel something would be better done another
way in a particular area I appreciate your input.
