 Hi all,

i don't even know if this is possible......

I want a Dynamic DNS service script written.
both client and server
i need it to run on a shared reseller hosting account.
I dont have shell access / root access.
The server is running webhostmanager for creating accounts and cpanel for
managing accounts.

It won't need any fancy graphic's just a simple script where you cna do 1 of two
things.

1 create a sub domain (http://something.somewhere.com and register your username
and pass.
2 create a proper domain (www.somewhere.com) and username / pass

i would like to hear your suggesstions

am not sure if some of you guys are really unsderstanding what i want...

I Dont want a automatic whm account subdomain creation

Imagine this....

I have a dynamic ip address
I have a webserver on this dynamic ip address
so if you want to see my webserver you browse to
http://123.456.789.098
however if my ip changes then i have to update my link.

soooo

If i have a second hosting account say www.hosting.com and i (somehow) can add a
domain name say www.myhome.com there and point the nameservers to that domain
name.
the "home server" should automatically update the ip address of its self in the
db and when someone browses to www.myhome.com it should re-direct to my IP

The client script should run every few min and check it see if www.hosting.com
server has the updated IP address.

This is already done by www.dyndns.org but i am unsure if it can be done on a
reseller hosting account.
