or 'Mambo with phpshop' (mamboserver.com) (mambo-phpshop.net) This system is mainly for *pdf newspaper, ebook, magazine. It should also support other media files, and have preview options for them. (eg. soundbooks) It is important that the system is multi-lingual in the customers/users frontend and and backend, the same for the publishers. ----- Customers: ----- Frontend customers: Cutomers can be registered when they for the first time buy or make a subscription or register without buying. - buy now Visitors can choose and buy a product instantly by surfing the site. Customers get their download link(s) at the 'order success screen' that also describes that the customers will recive one or more downloadlinks to their email address depending on how many products they have bought. This downloadlinks will only work for three days. (then if they want to download it after three days, they have to buy it form the archive) - subscription option 3 months, 6 months, 12 months subscription service, with automatic renew option. If they make a subscriptions. They will get a email for every new issue. This downloads links that's sent to the subscribers would only work for max three days. - buy now from archives Customers are able to buy from archives of each product, get to see the old product details and buy it directly as buy now option. - navigation and search This script should also work for *pdf ebooks and magazines. (or other files) Therefore it should be categories and subcategories where the visitors can navigate and search trought easily. Backend customers: - Good statistics: buying history, subscriptions etc. Export reports to different common formats is needed. cvs etc. - invoices for every payment is needed. (for print and *pdf file for download. The invoice will be using a standalone template with information on the publisher, customer and the site (company) information. ----- Publishers: ----- Frontend publishers: Publishers have to make a account and confirm their email address before the registration will be sent to 'main system administrator' for acceptance. The information page are on signup page. Backend publishers: Publishing options: - category The publishers must be able to choose wich category they like to publish their files/products. - product description Publishers can write a description, and put up their most important headlines or tocs. Publishers will chose to present their product information by one of three templates. - product image and upload When they upload their *pdf, it will automatically be made a tumbnail of the frontpage. If it is not a *pdf, they have to upload a picture and auto tumbnail. (if it is possible to automatically make a bigger picture for picture view, it is preferable to have this incl) - product price Publishers is able to set 'customers' price on the products. (incl. vat prosentage) From this they will see what they will be earning per issue or subscription. 'a pre set prosentage' *** Only system admin (site owner) can override what prosentage publishers will earn on every product, and also make changes to this. Publishing: - publishing at the site After they are done with uploading and, they activate it so it will be available to site visitors - publishing to subscribers subscibers get notified instantly when a new issue, product is published. This have to be done manually by the publisher. (The publisher can reject it to be published to subscribers if its just an update, or publish it later to subscribers.) - publishers information In the oscommerce today, there are manufactory information pages. I need this to be publishers information with a link from the product page. This information will only would be available for and to update for their own products. - buying options Publishers may have the option to select wich buy poions should be used for the specific product, either it is only buy now, subscriptions or all. Publishers set their price on every option. Publishers reports and statistics: The admin interface will have all statistics, reports, archives and full overview of thir content. Export reports to different common formats is needed. cvs etc. Publishers admin interface: It would be most practical that publihers have their own admin interface, behind their own admin folder. (this admin interface is shared with all publishers) Feautured products publishers: If the publishers want their product be published in the featured products category, the amount/fee for this option will be deducted from their total earnings. ----- Main administratrion: ----- System admin must have admin interface in own folder, not know by anyone than the system owner. The main administratrion must have good admin interface for the all options mentioned abowe and should be able to override all publisher and costumer settings and option. Reports and statistics: The admin interface will have all statistics, reports, archives and administer payments to publishers, and manage the site from every angle :-) Export to different common formats is needed. cvs etc. Security is a big issue on this system, both frontend and backend. Please have it tested for bugs and security holes by a third partie if possible. ----- Other issues: ----- Affiliate option: - register as a customer All affiliates must register as a customer first - 3-6 affiliate levels - prosentege per level - no limit on level width Other features: It is prefered that the system will be compatible with most of the features that comes with the main OsCommerce distribution. Payment gateways: - Prefered that the system will be compatible with most of the payment gateways there is today.
