project has no partners, and I have funding set aside for it. I have built most of a website, but it is using a proprietary language and it is hard to go the last mile to launch it. The site is for parents and caregivers to locate each other. The site that I built is http://www2.finddaycare.ca/ and it is fully mine, so don't worry about any copyright issues. To look at the site you can log create a new account (caregivers are free, parents pay a fee). You can create a parent account - the credit card system is in TEST MODE. There are other daycare sites running on the web, though I won't name them, that you can look at for ideas. What I need is a clone in PHP and MySQL, preferably running on Linux. If you have experience as sysadmin for Linux, we can talk about setting up the server (remotely if you are not in Ottawa Ontario Canada) for me too. When completed, the site needs to be transferred to me, fully ownership and rights. I will keep true to the original designer, and always give first refusal to upgrades to the site. The site needs to have: - multi-country (though based in Canada, it will grow beyond internationally) - capacity for multi-language (somewhat like the osCommerce system, where the headings and tags are dynamic based on language selected) - unicode encoded so non-english-type languages supported - user login section (standard deal here, username, p/w, name, address, etc etc). - user profile where user defines their type (eldercare, daycare, parent), the parameters of their requirement (ie max capacity, age range, what they need care for/need by way of allergies and/or first aid), their intersection, qualifications - search function (by city, by criteria) - auto-expire status (ie users must set themselves as "actively looking" for a specific time period - renewal of account - activity tracking for audit - intelligent output (ie showing a dashboard) - email transfer system (user 'sends' an email within the system, and a notification email goes to recipient indicating they have 'received' an email) - interface with InternetSecure for credit card processing What I would LIKE to have, but not required for version 1 - automated search/retrieve/notification of matches (ie nightly function) - match the graphics already in place (ie current site) - FAQ allowing posting of questions to be monitored/accepted by administrator - private profiles (ie able to keep info private) - ideas!! What you have to offer is what I need!! I would like for this project to be ready for beta-testing by June, and to have the designer available for bug-fixes and corrections to have it live within 2 weeks after beta-testing. Please include in your quote both testing and bug-fixes. Before you start coding, I will do my utmost to provide a technical specification detailing a process flow, approximate decision-tree outline, and a scope we can both sign off and agree to.
