I found this software - http://www.dirfile.com/link_management_assistant.htm
you can get the xml feed php info from http://www.gesture.com/search.htm
The first one it claims to do exactly what I want (not sure though if it tracks
the hits from other websites and ranks them based on that), but instead of dmoz
backup listings I want the top 5 Gesture.com XML feed listings. The referrers
come first, then a place to add a link, then page break that says top 5 gesture
results towards the bottom, with a link at the bottom to the gesture.com/add.htm
page. and sponsor boxes on the side that people can pay $25 for 5 keywords.
Make it so I can add sponsor boxes myself so I might be able to sell some on
ebay. Please quote me a price, shareasale.com would need to be installed for the
keyword boxes so to attract people that way as well. The sponsor boxes must be
randomized and only display 5 per result page with the last sponsor box always
being an ad to setup a sponsor box for that keyword. The logo has been designed
and a simple layout may be setup and my web designer will do the rest.
The actual coding needs to be unique unless taken from gesture.com/search.htm
because I own the rights to the script and I would own the rights to this new
script. the suggested first link is to give an idea on how to set this up in
PHP. I'm sure you can find an alternative method to what they have used.
