Description: |
Develop some custom php code that stores a unique identifier passed to it in the url and ultimately sends this identifier at a future time to another domain where it will be used to pass to a third domain (tracking identifier for an affiliate link) The unique identifier will need to be stored in a session object or similar as the user may read other pages on the website before ultimately clicking the link that transfers to the second domain. All coding to be standard php. I have an adwords campaign. The link the user clicks contains a unique identifier that is sent to a custom php page. e.g. A user clicking the adwords ad on google might be redirected to http://www.domain1.com/page1.php?id=123X page1.php should store the unique identifier in this users session and then divert to another page on the same domain which has the user content. e.g. it might divert to http://www.domain1.com/page2.php (if it makes a difference this is a static page in a wordpress blog) page2.php has user content and a link to an index.php on another domain e.g. http://www.domain2.com/ index.php on http://www.domain2.com loads a page on a third domain in a frame, so as to hide the affiliate link from the user. The unique identifier that was originally passed to page1.php has to be passed to index.php The user should only see http://www.domain2.com in the address bar, and nothing else. E.g. Cannot use http://www.domain2.com/?id=123X The affiliate link in the frame at http://www.domain2.com has to include the unique identifier in the affiliate link (for tracking purposes) so the unique identifier has to be passed from page2 to index.php somehow. The affiliate link itself CAN use a standard http get e.g. for the affiliate link in the frame, hidden from the user, e.g. it could be http://www.domain3.com/?aff=112x&id=123X It would be acceptable for the link on page2.php to divert to a link to another page on the same domain (say page3.php) that then retrieves the unique identifier from the session and then does a http post to http://www.domain2.com sending the unique identifier without showing anything but http://www.domain2.com on the address bar in the browser. It is important that when the user arrives at http://www.domain2.com that this is the url that is shown on the address bar and nothing else (not even index.php showing) although that is the actual php file that will be loaded. All php/html code is to be supplied. php code should be "clean" and well commented. php code to work on most webhost (at least php 4.x). The redirection, etc to hide url in address bar should work on all modern browsers (IE5 and above, Firefox 1.x and above, Safari, Opera, etc). As well as linux browsers. Javascript cannot be used for links, etc as the link is embedded in wordpress blog, and would prefer this all to be done server side. This is an simple job for the right php programmer. To make sure you have read the requirements in full, please include Tim_Under in your bid. Any bids not including this keyword will be automatically rejected. Please sent samples of prior work. Project would need to be completed in full within 4 days of bid acceptance. Please do not bid if you cannot meet this deadline. Also, as listed it is expected that there may be a few iterations i.e. you supply a draft, I may request a change, you resupply with the change, etc until we get to the finished product. This is to be included in your bid price, any extra requests for payments will not be entertained. Because the job is an easy one for an experienced php programmer, I would expect the first version to be made available for testing within 48 hours of your bid being accepted. Again please do not bid if you cannot meet this deadline. As stated the final version to be finished in 4 days. I will have more php work in the future, and am looking for an experienced team to be able to use on an ongoing basis, so this small task could be the first of lots of work for the right person/group.
