We have a new ZenCart store that needs to be modified so that it may include
Amazon items along with their own. We're stocking up on our own product line
but for now it is sparse. We offer similar products from the Amazon catalog in
order to have a complete selection. The problem is that Amazon click through go
to the Amazon web site and are processed there. When the our product is clicked
it needs to add to the shopping cart so it can be processed by their cc gateway
or pay pal etc..... When the Amazon products are clicked they need to obviously
go to the Amazon site for processing as normal or alternately go to an HTML page
where they are then passed to Amazon.
Whatever solution is reached it must be completely admined from a web interface.
We cannot have them hand coding or modifying the script on a product by product
basis.
Possible ways to accomplish but we are open to any proposal that seems like it
will work.
1. Replace the "add to cart" text with "purchase" ->
insert logic that will differentiate the amazon click through from in house
products -> pass the amazon to an HTML page where it can be re clicked to go
to the Amazon site OR pass the product order to the shopping cart and ask if
they want to keep shopping ect...
Special consideration must be given to the way the Amazon products are entered
into the database. There must be a field for the HTML which will show the
product images and so forth.
