OsCommerce is not recording an order even if payment is successfully made through Paypal. Below is a detailed description of the problem. When the customer gets to /cart/checkout_payment.php, chooses Paypal and then clicks continue, they are sent to Paypal. At this point, no notification is sent to the customer or the merchant. They continue with payment through Paypal correctly. At the final payment page there is a 'Return to Merchant' button in the bottom right corner of the page. At this page they have paid the merchant, however, the OSCommerce cart has no idea it is completed unless the 'Return to Merchant' button is clicked. As soon as that button is clicked, the customer and merchant recieve email notification and the order is placed in the database. The problem is not all customers are clicking this button. Instead they are just closing the browser. They are paying but the merchant has no record of the order. Big problem. I've found some possible fixes for this problem at: Can you do some research and install the version that would correct this problem so that the merchant would recieve a notification even if the customer did not complete payment? Notification includes email and inclusion of the order in the database. If payment is not completed, those orders are just not processed. Please reply with your bid.
