currently is using http://www.aplus.net/ as his hosting service and is having issues with uploading the images from his wholesaler to the text content of the products. He will be moving the entire site to my hosting service: http://www.ixwebhosting.com I have the Linux Unlimited Plan. Please check IX to make sure that it has all the required features to make this site work. The client is currently using OS Commerce as his store front. I am open to other ideas however he is comfortable with OSC. The client likes the look and feel of the site except that his site search capabilities and navigation are very poor. This will have to be entirely redone to make it more modern and user friendly. And a little Web 2.0 polish would help. The site will need the standard SEO meta tags on the landing pages and the client would like a way to have key words added to each product. A site map will be required. The product file comes from his wholesaler in the form of a CSV file and he uploads it the site. He has control of the sale price as well as the shipping costs. The issue seems to be getting the images loaded to the products. They are hosted by his wholesaler and I'm not sure exactly how this is being achieved. From what I understand he's using some kind of third party software to call the images and that software may be on yet another hosting service. I want to eliminate that issue. I need to make his monthly uploads quick, easy and of course accurate with as much flexibility as his budget allows. There are three pages of articles on the site that will remain but might be better served as a blog so that he can add content as he wishes. These articles need not remain as blogs. I will entertain ideas as long as the client can add content when needed. If they do remain as blogs most likely he will not have others posting comments however I am again open to suggestions. The client has a merchant gateway for payment processing that will need to be set up. He thinks he want's to change the gateway to QuickBooks and I am researching that for him. I will have that info before the project is awarded. The tricky part is the project must be completely finished by July 25th. I will need the provider to assist me by completely explaining the work flow so that I can train the client and have him ready for his August sales. Considering the time frame I need a pro with the time, experience and the communication skills to get this project done and make sure that I am comfortable enough to train my client.
