This project has 2 components. 1. Requires the creation of a server daemon that will listen on one port for incoming Order Numbers. Upon receiving an order number, it should connect to a database and collect the order information and then send the same to the client component. The server daemon will also listen on another port for the client component and allow the client component to connect on a secure channel (using SSL). The server component has to log all processed orders as well. 2. Requires the creation of desktop application that is the client component to the above server daemon. The client component must connect to the server for authentication (userbase is also on a database). After authentication, the client will show all received orders while it was offline and display new orders that it receives on a pop up window in real time. The client must have the option of saving and printing all received orders as well as re opening saved orders. The orders needs to be displayed and printed in a given format. The server component should run as a daemon on a Debian Etch Linux server and it will need to interact with a MySQL database. The Client component will be on windows desktops and in order to keep the used resources to a minimum, the client component should NOT use dot Net. Next:  Apache PHP Security -
